A Hmong Family Home in Ta Van
My name is Sue. I'm Hmong, and I've lived in Ta Van my whole life.
Indigo Snail is named for two things from this valley: the indigo dye we make from local plants, and the spiral embroidery pattern passed down through Hmong needlework — you'll see both around the house.
This isn't a business I built to look like home. It's my home, and for a few days, it's yours too.

My Homestay
Walk with us. Trails cut through bamboo forest and rice paddy to villages most tour buses never reach.
Learn with us. Indigo dyeing and embroidery, taught the way they were taught to us.
Eat with us. Dinner is home-cooked and shared at one table, guests and family together.
My Mission
As a member of the Hmong Tribe, my goal is to uplift my community and empower the local women by providing them with employment.
In the future I hope to keep succeeding in my endeavors so that my people may reap the benefits of these efforts.
By booking your activities with me, you actively participate in supporting the local women and guides in the area.
